Community Involvement
Alamance County Farm Bureau supports the community in many ways. We have donated money, assisted with school programs, sponsored scholarships, conducted “Homegrown Tours,” and much more. Here’s a list of some of the ways we support our community:
- Underwrite 2 scholarships for Alamance County teachers to be Kenan Fellow Recipients
- Sponsor the Alamance County Beekeeper Association Cost Share Program
- Annually Fund 2, $4,000 Scholarships and fund 1, $3000 scholarship to either NC A&T or NC State University
- Underwrite the ACFB Women’s Committee Special projects
- Fund Alamance County Young Farmer and Rancher programs
- Support the 4-H Livestock Club and local NC State Fair Show participants
- Annual Southern Alamance High School FFA program Sponsor
- Annual Western Alamance High School FFA program Sponsor
- Farm Safety Program Presenter – Western Alamance Farmers Club
- Support local Charities and food banks
- Snack sponsor for the Family Justice Center
- Fund a backpack program for a local ABSS school
- Ag in the Classroom Ambassador and sponsor of Andrews Elementary Vegetable Garden
- Going Local Grant sponsor to a local Alamance County Teacher
- Financially Support NC FFA Alumni Association
- Sponsor Alamance County Farm to Table Program; this program allows 400 school age children to learn firsthand where their friend and fiber come from
- Alamance County Cattleman’s Association Field Day Sponsor
- NC Junior Beef Roundup Sponsor
- Financially support of the Central Piedmont Junior Livestock Show
- Junior Dairy Show Sponsor
- Alamance County Dare Program major sponsor

- Along with other financial support and time donated to other Ag related organizations.
