Good afternoon,
I hope this finds you well. I’m the shelter manager at Burlington Animal Services, and I’m trying to reach out to farmers to see if any might have a need for barn cats to control rodent populations. We receive quite a few cats in from the community who would not make good indoor pets but who would do well as barn/mouser cats. We spay/neuter, vaccinate, and ear tip these cats. They are great at controlling rodent populations, and, when they are fixed, they generally do not exhibit nuisance behaviors like spraying/marking or fighting.
Thank you for your help!
